Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Beard Capital Audit app. By connecting a Shopify store or a Meta (Facebook) account, you agree to them.
The service
Beard Capital Audit connects to the accounts you authorise — your Shopify store and your Meta advertising account — and produces an audit of how your business is performing: sales, retention, inventory, products, and marketing. It reads your data through the official Shopify and Meta APIs and presents the result back to you.
Who can use it
You may only connect accounts you own or are authorised to act for. By connecting an account, you confirm you have the authority to grant the read-only access the app requests.
What you authorise
You grant Beard Capital Audit read-only access to the connected accounts so it can run the audit. We only ever read. We never write to, change, or delete anything in your store or your ad account, and we never post, manage campaigns, or place orders on your behalf.
The audit is information, not advice
The audit is provided for information only. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to take any particular action. Any decision you make based on it is your own. Figures are derived from the data your connected accounts return at the time the audit runs and may differ from your own records.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your Shopify, Meta, and login credentials secure.
- Use the app in line with Shopify's and Meta's own terms and policies.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its infrastructure.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we provide it on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, suspend, or withdraw the app or any feature at any time. We may also update these terms; if we do, the "last updated" date above changes, and continuing to use the app means you accept the revised terms.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees you have under applicable consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beard Capital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or reliance on the audit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the audit, if any.
Your data and privacy
How we handle your data — what we read, what we store (almost nothing, only an encrypted access token), and how to delete it — is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the app you also agree to that policy.
Ending access
You can disconnect any connected account at any time from within the app, or by uninstalling the app from Shopify or removing it from your Facebook settings. When you do, we delete that connection and its encrypted token. See the Privacy Policy for the full deletion detail.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
